Great! I'm glad Public Works is on it. This tree/trees are coming down and will block all of Robertson Road the next time the wind blows. This is no exaggeration.
Thank you for dealing with the pothole and tree in a very timely manner. Unfortunately, the pothole seems to want to continue to grow. There must be an underlying issue. We will continue to monitor it.
I echo the thanks expressed by my neighbor -- you all were very expeditious in cutting the limbs overhanging the road and making a patch. Unfortunately, the patch either didn't hold or the hole is growing to the west or both. The pothole is reopened. Likely the low point in the road surface combined with the fact the road (and all our homes) sit on a wetland is contributing to the issue. Looking closely at the patch itself, it appears a large deposit of asphalt remains in a mound as well -- perhaps it wasn't flattened out enough when poured (you can see this in photo attached).
Lastly, I'm not sure what City protocol is for removing debris...but the limbs and branches cut were left in a large pile on the shoulder of Robertson. Are they supposed to be hauled away? There can be no mowing of the weeds or grasses with the debris left behind. We own the property adjoining this parcel of land and mow our shoulder next to the wetland for example.
I believe that if a larger patch were to be put down, that would solve it. I have reopened the issue.
Thank you!
Public Works Supervisor, Sonny Belieu, investigated the comments of Christina Doherty. The patching done at this time of year is temporary until better repair can be delivered this summer. The debris will be noted on our chipping list which is scheduled on a ongoing basis throughout the storms of winter. Thank you for your report.
