Description

Destruction of trails and not following the rules as prescribed.

1. Are the MCSP area-specific management plans for the canyons and the existing resource management plan/area-specific management directives being followed for fuel management as outlined in the grant?

2. These plans state the disturbance of native herbaceous and succulent vegetation should be minimized and that no disturbance of surface soils, rocks, lichens, etc should occur in the brush management area. So why is the soil being scraped clean?

3. Is the habitat manager managing the thinning in such a way as to maintain the maximum allowable shrub coverage and the maintain the maximum possible shrub species diversity as well as maintain known nesting sites for CA Gnatcatcher and other species under the City of CV MSCP Subarea Plan guidelines?

4. Is there a biologist on site during the work as required by NEPA?
