Description

For nearly seven years in the Salisbury neighborhood of Midlothian I have been watching the deep drainge ditch in front of my house cotninue to erode and get deeper. I have tried contacting VDOT and Chesterfield County to have them come and figure out the best way to get the ditch filled or graded. But the only response has been by VDOT several years ago to come patch a small amount of asphalt around the drain tube under the driveway (that wasn't the issue). I have two small kids that love to ride bikes on the driveway but I am afraid they might fall in or a runner or car at night might accidentally fall in and not be able to get out. It's very dangerous and with each heavy rainfall, the rainwater rushes through the ditch and further erodes it -- almost to the point that our mailbox may disappear soon into the ditch.
