The lights still aren’t working. It’s dark at 4:30 now and cars are not stopping because they can’t see the pedestrians

Less than a year ago there was a special Cross Walk signal installed right where Upton St. T's into Magazine St (to help with people crossing Magazine St.) ... When people push a button there are supposed to be bright yellow lights that light up. Only one side of the lights seems to be working, and one button doesn't seem to work.

Can we get an update regarding this safety issue by the school?

We’ve had our signal technicians respond to this location several times over the past several weeks to troubleshoot the problem with the beacons. During this time we have also ordered and replaced components of the beacons (such as the batteries) and have yet to have success pinpointing the issue. We’re working with the manufacturer to assess the problem and come up with a solution. We will have the beacons operational as soon as we are able to.

This signal is something that I've been asking about getting fixed since last summer of 2022... and then periodically asked about a number if times over the fall and winter...

I saw a bucket truck out there yesterday working on it, and will check to see if it is now working.

The traffic signal light now seems to be [mostly] fixed. However, the flashing lights on the western side of the intersection initially come on, but then turn off rather quickly. It seems that they should flash for the full duration as the lights on the east side? Hoping that a technician may be able to adjust this?
