The Metro Bike Lanes are a good guide for motorists AND bicyclists to help with the safe flow of traffic.
But at intersections, the lanes disappear.
It would be an improvement if Metro installed dotted lines at these points so all would know where the safe lane for a bicycle is and make motorists aware that a bike lane still exists.
All motorists need to then is to wait until the bicyclist is out of the way before crossing for a turn. A good motorist would do this anyway, and a dotted line may help reinforce the point.
Dotted lines on the roadway for cars maintain safe lane identity and bicycle lanes should be included, especially at intersections.
