TP: thanks, and howdy, neighbor!! Appreciate your feedback and intel on the cause. I hope they fix it soon. Another neighbor's family parked in front of my house and kids were getting out of the car. With the light out, the vehicle traveling northbound who blew through the stop sign would have a better chance of seeing the kids getting out of the car if the street light were on. I held my breath, and luckily everything turned out OK. I can't make drivers yield/stop at that intersection, but hopefully with a working streetlight they can see what's happening at the intersection better.

The street light has been out for almost a year. Wtf? It's not enough to just acknowledge the issues. Can someone actually address them and correct the issue? It is embarrassing at this point.

To TP, David Palmer and Betty Kennedy: I urge all of you to call the Public Lighting Authority at the number above. PLA is by far the slowest department among all the City departments. It is not unusual for them to take more than a year to correct a street light that is not working....I think if all of you place calls, repeatedly, it might make some difference. You could also contact our District 1 Manager Karla Williamson and Asst. District 1 Manager Steele Hughes, to ask for their help. It is very frustrating when nothing is done to address obvious problems.
