The school zone crosswalk is needed for parents and children crossing the road, maneuvering through stationary and moving vehicles where drivers are focused on stopped traffic in front of them and not pedestrians that may be stepping into the street. With school carpool traffic "parked" along Forestville Rd as well as pedestrians attempting to cross in the same area (ideally with the protective crosswalk), a further reduced school zone speed limit is needed for cars coming around the slight blind curve. This, in addition to the school zone pedestrian crosswalk and updated year-round school signage, would ensure better safety for adult/child pedestrians as well as drivers passing through the school zone.

A pedestrian crosswalk is still needed to ensure safety for students and parents attempting to cross a very busy Forestville Road (where drivers are not necessarily abiding by the school zone speed limit) to get back and forth between the elementary school and the nearby neighborhoods.

Still requesting a pedestrian crosswalk painted across Forestville Rd from the sidewalk near Harris Creek Elementary School to the sidewalk at the Forestville Farms subdivision entrance. Also requesting pedestrian crosswalk signs so drivers can be warned to look for people crossing the street.

Protected pedestrian crosswalk needs to be painted across Forestville Rd from the sidewalk at the entrance of Forestville Farms (Cashew Drive) to the sidewalk at Harris Creek Elementary School - small children walking with parents, and sometimes strollers, are at risk of being hit by vehicles that have limited visibilty coming around the curve of the road.

Also requesting reduction of school zone speed limit to 25 during school traffic times as cars are still driving 45-50mphs regardless of 35mph school speed signs which creates risk of an accident with cars waiting in the car pool lines along Forestville Rd.
