  Thanks for taking the time to let the City know your concern and thoughts about the intersection of N 46th Street and Vassault. The City has reviewed the intersection in the relatively recent past, including the reported collisions that had happened to date at that time. Based on the community feedback we have received about recent collisions, we are updating our analysis and attempting to include all recent report collisions as their information is processed and made available to the Public Works Department. Our updated intersection control evaluation will be considering collision frequency and contributing circumstances as well as other considerations/factors that apply per the federally mandated Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices which provides parameters for considering all-way stop control. As you referenced, N. 51st and Vassault is an existing all-way stop control intersection (and very susceptible to drivers running the stop sign controls), but it also is an intersection of two continuous arterial roadways that have similar amount of traffic demands unlike N 46th Street and Vassault where N 46th Street is not an arterial street west of the intersection and the traffic demand over the course of a typical day on Vassault is about three times the traffic demand on North 46th Street. When the updated analysis is complete, we will do our best to provide our findings to those who have reached out about this location.
