City of Olathe said they told the city codes department to contact the owners of Pinecrest Townhomes (Cohen Esrey), but no one has touched these craters for going on a month now.
Either the fines aren't big enough, Cohen Esrey doesn't give a toot about the neighbors in the area, or the city never called them at all. It's only been there for close to a year, right.
Thanks to Cohen Esrey and the City of Olathe for taking care of business - oops they are - THEIR OWN. Who cares about their tenants or the citizens of Olathe...
The City Community Enhancement Division has provided the following update for your information today: Staff is working with the owner to get these pot holes filled. The property manager called on October 24th to give us an update saying they are waiting on the last bid to be submitted to make their final decision. This should be corrected within their 60 day allotted time frame by the ordinance. Their 60 days is up on November 26th.
Thank you for the update and follow up, City of Olathe.
Apologies for the facetious comment, but without communication, knowledge of process and the fact that the crater has been untouched since reporting last (and becomes bigger by the week), we wondered whether it was being addressed. We appreciate your tenacity and look forward to resolution and a smoother (and safer) ride for all who use that route.
90 days and still not repaired. The pothole is in fact larger.
Sounds like fines have no teeth and the property manager is completely ignoring the city and codes dept.
Please respond with status. We're way past the 60 days allotted to remedy.
Please know that the listing agent/property manager filled a majority of the pothole with cold patch. The section will be cut out and replaced in the spring by Paradise Asphalt Co.
Yes it was patched. Rather poorly, but I am sure folks appreciate it.
We will watch for the proper repair this spring. Thanks for the activity on all fronts.
We (and neighbors) have teenage kids who drive their cars through there (Family video, library, etc.) and this will hopefully alleviate unnecessary auto repairs and tire damage.
