I haven't climbed the steps, but it clearly looks as if the carpenters have done excellent work. This appears to be a bogus "issue" that should be close immediately.

The handrails were not attached to the stairs. A brand new board has cracked in half, and the stairs still move. Code inspectors please.

Code violations. Railing is not attached to stairs. The structure under those boards is still in poor condition, and 'bounce' when walked on. The staircase needs to be replaced. Please send to code enforcement

Today a police officer cracked one of the boards as he descended the stairs. Also confirmed that the stairs are not up to code.

Why is it so difficult to get code violations addressed in Oakland? Does it take serious injury or death?

The "issue" has already been taken care of. This abuse of SeeClickFix diverts attention from far more pressing matters.
