I would like to ask the neighborhood/community for their input and assistance with help in having a street light(s) installed on Midage Lane and possibly other surrounding streets/neighborhoods. Within the past day, there was a homicide that occurred in the Midage Lane surrounding streets, and there were detectives that were asking for assistance with possible camera/Ring Doorbell footage, that may assist them in locating the suspect(s) and/or vehicles that were in and around the scene at that time. Unfortunately due to the fact that it is so dark on Midage Lane, my doorbell was unable to pick up anything, which is very frustrating not just because I was unable to help or use the Doorbell camera for it's intended use, but also because that once again makes the neighborhood feel unsafe. I would just like to know what has to happen in order to get something like this done, or before anything may or could happen close to home for anyone. There have also been numerous vehicle and property break-ins, theft, vandalism, or just something like a lost pet like a dog wandering the street that you may not see walking, getting out of your vehicle, or even those that have to leave out for work in the early morning hours, and could possibly be attacked or bitten because you were unable to see it. There are many scenarios and situations that could be thrown in that would make this neverending. I hope that I can count on the support from the neighbors and community to get together and make this happen so we can try to somewhat make it better before it gets worse. Thank you.
