I agree with you but what I see mostly (I live within eye shot of St. John's) is the parents in a flippin' hurry to drop off their kids and pick up their kids. Not saying the city bus doesn't drive too fast nor other vehicles. And I have watch many children get hit, almost been hit, and still they drive to fast maybe all school zones need speed bumps at the beginning and the end. May cost the city a bit, but then it may save a few of our children also.

The St. John's intersection is horrible! Drivers need to slow down but I don't know how many times kids have ran out from in between cars or directly in front of vehicles! Even going 30 km/ hr in a school zone isn't slow enough when a child runs out directly in front of your vehicle! The school needs to teach them about cross walk safety.

I agree, the school zone for WJ Berezowky is bad also, all school zones need to be enforced more!! Our children don't even attenend any Prince Albert Schools nor do we live in the city now but this is one of my peeves, children's lives are at stake here, people need to slow down!

There quota really so what its ok for our kids to get hit by cars and maybe even killed as long as they dont go over there quota who cares if you go over umm hello isnt that why u signed up to be a police officer was to SERVE and PROTECT .well get out there and protect the children ..are they not what our future is about

We need to rely on police to protect us less, and parents to educate their children more.

When I was growing up, my parents taught me to look both ways before walking into the street.

I've seen high school kids from both of the major high schools wander oblivious into major arterial traffic flows, *expecting* traffic to stop for them.

It's a wonder that more kids aren't killed this way.

Anonymous I am responding to your comment, yes children should be looking both ways, but if people driving aren't obeying the 30 km zone and are flying down the road at 60 and above does it really matter if the kids are looking, cause either way they will get hit. The problem is people thinking they are above the law and don't give a crap about our kids and the school zone speed limit. Maybe your view is because you are one of those people who are always in a hurry to get somewhere who sees the school zone and thinks, whatever I need to get to this place, and just zoom right on by. It's not right and it needs to get rectified before someone dies!

more police enforcement is needed all over the city. its not just one school zone, it's all of them.
