Description
For about the past 10 years we and our neighbors have reported this house has being abandoned/ trashed and the front and back yard as being overgrown. We have reported this to our Homeowners association as well as our property management company and the codes dept and health dept. and the police all to no avail. Finally the homeowners association took the initiative to have the front yard mowed only after I quit mowing it.But that does nothing to remedy the other problems. Now the front window has been stolen. I would like to request this property be cleaned up inside and out. It is an extreme eyesore and is also a heath hazard to us and our neighbors. Anyone can now enter through the missing window ( which we think there are squatters ) and with the trash piled waist high someone will be hurt not to even mention the potential fire hazard it is. SOMEONE PLEASE CLEAN UP THIS MESS.

Codes and Building Safety was notified on August 4, 2009 that this propertyy was vacant, had high grass and weeds and needed exterior repairs (RFS # 09-1040063). Codes issued notice to the owner of record to make the specific repairs. The high grass issue was handled by the Metro Health Department. After the owner failed to correct any of the violaitons Codes requested a civil warrant and began prosecuting this owner in court...however the owner never appeared in court. On March 15, 2011 your Homeowners Association contacted Codes and made us aware that there was again high grass and weeds....we referred to Metro Health since Codes at that time had no jurisdiction over "vacant un-occupied" properties having high grass and weeds...only structures. On March 21, 2011 Codes learned that Fidelity Federal was the responsible party for this property and notice was sent to them to make specific repairs to the structure. On July 19, 2011 Codes placed the property in a research for ownership and we learned that Chase Home Financial in Columbus, Ohio was the legal owner and they were abated as well. Since Chase made no attempt to clean the premsies, cut the grass or make repairs Codes requested issuance of a civil warrant and we have a scheduled a court date to prosecute this lending company in court on November 16, 2011.

I would like to thank you for your response and letting us know what was being done by our government agencies to correct this.I know that our neighbors and myself really do appreciate. your efforts.
On the off chance would you be aware of any reason why our property management company (Ghertner )has not taken the initiative to clean this up and charge it back to the current owner? I feel that it is their responsibility, not Codes, to enforce the bylaws of our association. They have the right to enter any residence either by force or amicably to enforce the rules. Why are we spending tax payers money to enforce rules imposed on us by a homeowners association. Once again thank you for your time and response.
