We have the same issue with the traffic island a block east at the corner of SW Merriam Ct and SW Granthurst Ave. My husband has mowed it all summer. This property is part of the Shawnee Co. Parks and Rec. Dept. Since they have been using contracted mowers, service has been poor. This summer it is nonexistent!
At one point we thought “Wow, the county apparently doesn’t have to follow the city code when it comes to keeping the grass under 12 inches!”
