Public works has always cleaned debris from the culvert in front of my property annually up until about 3 years ago. I have made numerous calls and I am told over and over again, it will be about 4-6 weeks and no one ever comes. Was also told that culvert was unstable and in poor repair and needed to be upgraded. They said they could not even clean it because it was part of the Mayor Dean neighborhood project. Area streets were paved during the project but still no work to storm drain. Because of all of the debris and instability of the drain, it was a contributory factor during the May flood. Now every time there is a hard rain it overflows into the street and front yard.

Please notice the exposed iron rods on both sides of the drainage ditch. The stabilizing bars were either damaged or washed away by the May flood exposing only the iron rods. I have drove up to find kids playing in the ditch. I am very concerned that someone's child could fall on these iron stakes that are exposed and sustain an injury.
