What does section 8 have to do with it? Sounds rather classist

If I’m not mistaken, each resident can have a visitor permit meaning a two person household/apartment can have up to four cars in the parking permit system. I’m not sure how section 8 housing interfaces with Albany parking permit system but the complainant could call and find out. tough street to live on since it’s one-sided parking.

You are mistaken. Each house gets two resident cars. Visitor permits aren’t meant for daily parking. And there’s a parking enforcement listing in see click fix, so I do think it’s what the site is for? Where else would you put something like this?

Also adding- OP didn’t say “I don’t like that these people have section 8” - I think it’s relevant given that it’s zoned or whatever as a 2 person house.

People need to go try out for the police academy or else just mind their own business. There is no way to know about this persons permit status, it’s not a physical permit, it’s all electronic now.

This is appropriate for Seeclickfix and JennaP is correct about visitor permits. If a building zoned for no more than two vehicles is parking a third car, contact Parking Enforcement directly with the license plate number. The problem may not be that the car doesn't have a permit, but that the address has been issued two many permits for the zoned maximum. I don't know that the Parking Office knows or checks zoning limits when issuing permits.

The “albany, ny neighbor” is no neighbor at all. Should change his user name to the “albany, ny tattletale”.

This is absolutely where this complaint should be made. People taking advantage of the very limited parking spaces in this neighborhood is not ok. Further more, if I’m not mistaken, these are the residents that move their cars to monopolize two or more spaces and then move them again when their third party comes back to park. This is unacceptable behavior especially on a tiny street with one side parking.
