Know that feeling- we put a house filter in our house and cant even use good filters because within 3 days there is no water pressure because they are so clogged from the nasty water - call and complain and they flush a hydrant good solution and this is all the time not only after a flood

County Board of Health should test the water besides the municipality as well as an independent, NYS certified and licensed "tester". If the water isn't potable, than the value of your house is down, and you should tell the assessor so you will pay less taxes. Have the assessor office make a field visit to everybody. There is power in numbers for this matter.

we have many flushings of the hydrants the problem just never goes away... many people have lost loads of white clothes..... when the dirty water becomes the real burst of dirty water watch out..... but you can always go to the town hall and get that little bottle of stuff to put in your washing machine... if these are on hand over there , they must know they have a problem...
