I was alerted by my 16 tear old son that someone had made a huge hole in my driveway. After staying on the phone with PSE&G for 1/2 hr to be told they have no record of work being done at my property, I had to rush home from work. After the 45 minute drive home, I found 5 PSE&G trucks in front of my house and a huge hole in the middle of my driveway. I spoke with the fireman "Tommy" who got his supervisor "Chris" on the phone. Chris explained that they do not get authorization from homeowners to do any work. They also do not notify customer service if work is getting done. He advised that they "own the equipment that is under ground and can do work without authorization whenever necessary. I find it hard to believe that PSE&G could not take the time to notify customers of such an intrusive repair. I didn't have access to my driveway for hours and was left with a very shotty repair job until the permanent fix to the hole is done. Now I will have a spot in my large driveway that will look very different than the rest. I'm demanding that my whole driveway gets completely resurfaced and repaired immediately. This type of treatment of PSE&G's customers incompletely absurd!!!
