It appears that NYS DOT does not care about the Arterial (CV Whitney Memorial Highway) otherwise they would clear the storm drains and repair damaged medians. I realize that the state has limited funding but some funds should be made available to maintain this road since it is an artery /lifeline for local residents. It's bad enough that DOT removed the lights off of 90% of the street lights out on the Arterial. It took a Skidmore student being killed a few years ago at the intersection of Veteran's Way / Gick Rd. to get some of the lights restored. Maybe the head of DOT should take a pay cut to help cover costs to fix some things on state highways.
