Hi Bill: A watch area was recently created for Town Supervisor, Frank Petrone.
Hopefully he will become aware of the issue.
Mr. Petrone: Once you figure out how, when and if this road surfaced will be fixed can you comment on here and let Bill and the 3 other concerned citizen's know? Also, when it is fixed, please click "close" to close the issue.
It's worse than just a pothole: the road is delaminating there because our foolish Huntington Highway department decided to repaint the lines and arrows. So, the first thing they did was GRIND OFF the old lines and arrows, which caused the pavement to fall apart. Then they went and painted new arrows that weren't all that different.
I am guessing you are not the Town Supervisor, Frank Petrone? As mentioned above, the hope is that he's becoming aware of this issue. If you can snap a photo of this broken road an upload it by clicking "add an image" above this comment box, you'll play a big part of showing how bad this area of road is.
Town Supervisor, Frank Petrone- Can you offer any comments for Bill, Frank and the other people who want this fixed?
Heh ... no, Nicole, I'm not Frank Petrone! I've met him, though, and he's a nice enough guy. It's William Naughton (sp?) that I don't understand. How can the superintendent of highways (a) authorize such a wasteful project as moving the arrows and lines around, and (b) allow a contractor to do damage to the road, then (c) allow the damaged road to go un-repaired for MONTHS. I know he just got re-elected, so I guess he doesn't have to care about us any more ... but the waste of MONEY is unconscionable!
I'll try to get a photo, but it's a high-traffic area so I have to be careful.

How much did this foolishness cost us?!?
