Description
Hayes Road North of 12 Mile: 30 to 35 MPH speed limit for 3 miles then jumps to 45 MPH for 1.3 miles. High speeds and reckless driving far in excess of the 45 MPH occur on this section of tree lined road! You name it, it probably happens here. I personally have witnessed motorcycles with one wheel in the air, heard hot rods petal to the metal and regular folks having "fun" screaming out the window at high speeds. It is frightening to see the speeds down this road. I understand the driveway quantity and other factors used to calculate the speed limits would probably dictate a 45 MPH speed limit but jump in speed limit section of Hayes is very tempting to a wide range of drivers. Please help keep things safer along this section of road and remove the temptation. Please continue the 30 MPH limit for just 1.3 miles until the road ends. Please help.
