Description

University road is a frequently travelled street by many of UVM Medical Center Employees. This is a narrow road and very dark when staff walk it at the end of their 12 hour shift. I understand residents on the road would not appreciate street lights outside there home, but signage to slow down or even better a SIDEWALK would be a huge benefit and safety comfort. During baseball games the street is closed off and becomes a one way. A permanent one-way rd would also be extremely beneficial to pedestrians safety, the flow of traffic, and helpful in accommodating the development of a sidewalk.

Also, at the top of the road there is a cross walk over East Ave that drivers often blow thru the stop sign or just keep driving when they see you. More awareness of this three way stop is necessary. PLEASE lets honor our essential worker heroes and put their safety first!

I am willing to get a petition sided if it will help in the developement and improvement of University Rd. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear back soon!
