Drove past again this evening, the McNichols geyser is still going strong...any chance dwsd could you know, come turn the pipe off? I'm tired of my water bill being astronomical, and while I appreciate the water feature, the ice rink it's creating at that junction is surely going to cause a couple accidents

I'll probably call DWSD tomorrow or Monday and also drop a line to Angela Calloway (District 2 rep). I'm sure the city is busy, but this is kind of ridiculous.

Still flowing

Drove by this morning, still flowing away (and I don't think putting that blue salt down is really a good solution, as it's just getting washed away). If we assume it's running at 8 fl/oz/sec (half a pop can, which I think is fair given the height of our water feature), that works out at 5400 gal/day (8 oz/sec, 480oz / 3.75 gal / min, 225 gal/hr, 5400 gal/day) - my last water bill was $90 for 4500gals, so this is 'costing' us (because you can be darned sure dwsd will pass it on to bill payers), that's $108/day. This has been running since 2/8 (at least that's when this was reported), so that's 18 days - nearly $2000 ($1944)...is dwsd going to do anything anytime soon??

Day 20, the McNichols fountain is still running like a champ. Blue salt has been washed away

Just drove by now...the McNichols water feature continues unabated

But the salt makes it ok, right???? Right?????
