I took my daughter for a walk along the tracks. So muck graffiti under the VZ bridge. I looks like Obambaville. Get some police officers off useless traffic details to hide in the bushes to ambush the deadbeat "artists". We all know where they live.
Thank you all for your concern. We continue to repaint over graffiti in Hunter Park and will do so over the season. Please feel free to use the City of Newport's Clean City Program's graffiti report form to ensure that the Newport Police and Clean City Program are notified and we can take proper action: http://www.cityofnewport.com/departments/public-services/cleancity/graffiti_form.cfm
Thank you Kristin for the response. I have re-opened this item since the graffiti on the wall at Hunter Park is still present with no evidence of any repainting. (I just checked).
Mid-afternoon the city did paint over the graffiti. Unfortunately, two female juveniles were stopped at 5pm with spray cans in hand, tagging the whitewashed wall. My wife and I spoke with the two who were oblivious to being watched and thought there was nothing wrong about what they were doing.
