Description
People drive WAY TOO FAST on 16th Street between Maple and Anna. I've called the borough office several times but they've said that stops signs won't be put in until someone ACTUALLY DIES... How horrible is that? Some stop signs for those two intersections would cost a couple of hundred dollars at most but they want people to DIE first. We need new leaders!

Miles, the best contact I could find was for the borough office.... info@newcumberlandborough.com
Two members of the town council used to have public email addresses but they changed them as soon as they won their election! Maybe we need to replace them like Mr. Smith suggests...

The real shame is, the borough office has been told about his page by several different people and everyone there, including the esteemed Mayor Landis (apparently), don't care. Their reply is, "Well, if you want it fixed, do it yourself." What kind of answer is that???
An old man almost died this week when a speeding pick-up truck nearly hit his car as he was backing out of a driveway. I guess New Cumberland almost got their "one death required" to fix the problem. It's a real shame the town won't just do the right thing for the right reasons. It has to be about covering their butts after something bad has happened!
