Loose trucks, trailers, and semis plowed over these drainage grates at great speeds, causing a great deal of noise all over the neighborhood, because the grates are not on the same level as the roadway. Recent repaving of this part of the 611 roadway SHOULD have included smoother, almost silent transition of vehicles running over these. It's a wonder there are not many accidents from all the bouncing of these large vehicles. PennDot or whoever did this work should come back and raise the level of the grates, or replace them with ones that will make driving over them as quiet as smaller vehicles do. The local police could also enforce more the speeding of these vehicles...especially at night when traffic is greatly reduced. It's hard to sleep through this noise!
