Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have received several complaints over the past few weeks regarding this property. The police are responding to the address when complaints are made and evaluating the level of noise, the activities taking place, and the general “reasonableness” of the gatherings. In situations such as these the police work with the residents to come to a resolution which respects the rights of a homeowner to use their property for their enjoyment while also not infringing on the rights of neighbors to live in peace. We are working to do just that.
If there is activity taking place at this residence, or any other place, that you feel is unreasonable for the time of day, please call the Westfield Police at 413-562-5411 while it is happening so an officer can respond to evaluate the situation. If enforcement action is deemed necessary, we base our decisions on the City of Westfield Noise Ordinance, Chapter 10 Section 33, or in extreme cases the Nuisance House Ordinance Chapter 10 Section 28.
