Capt. Niemann has requested hat our Traffic Unit conduct a speed survey to determine when (and if) the violations occur. When that is complete, it will help beat officers be most effective in their subsequent speed enforcement. They will try to keep an eye on this over the next few weeks.

One other note. This part of Tryon is actually not in the City Limits, so our police would not respond to a speeding violation right here. We do have jurisdiction up the road, so we will still do a speed survey on Tryon, but it will be further east, near Fairway (around the golf course) where it is in the City and is a 35 MPH. I realize that is not specifically on Tryon where your concern is, but maybe some enforcement further east on Tryon may help at this location too. To get some specific action at this location, you will need to contact the Highway Patrol or the Wake County Sheriff's traffic unit. We legally (and procedurally) cannot do anything at this specific spot. Neither the HP nor the Sheriff's office tracks See Click Fix inquiries, so you'll need to contact them directly.
