I hope this matter is NOT closed so long as the people begging at 11th and Castro conitnue to camp out along the freeway and dump their trash and hang their belongings on the fence. Despite the unhelpful 'help' of people I've seen actually contributing a mattress to the folks stationed at 11th and Castro (thereby encouraging them to stay, or maybe just finding an easy way to dump a mattress), most of us who live in the area are grateful for CalTrans' help in trying to keep the stretch of Castro along the freeway clean and free of trash and other debris dumped and hung up on the fencing along the freeway.
