Every day, without fail, there are some very messed up people hanging out at this corner. I've watched them deal and do drugs right in front of my office, and have many times wondered whether the guys who pass out in their wheelchairs here are even alive anymore. They're an eyesore and an annoyance to everyone who lives, works, and walks here, and they need help.

Why does public day-long inebriation and open hard drug dealing get a blind-eye from the police and city services at this intersection, but not in other areas of the city? When did this area become exempt from code and law enforcement? When was that voted on?

feel free to call the SFPD and ask them what their official definitition of 'containment zone' is and then ask when 16th and mission was designated as one and then ask if it will ever NOT be a containment zone.

seriously, the plaza was covered in @#$% again this morning. it's a health risk as well as disgusting.

MCA - please go back and read what others have said about a containment zone and the futility of reporting quality of life crimes at this location - every day there is drug dealing, public urination, public drinking, harassment of passers by and illegal transfer/late night selling. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

We’ve got the same @#$% going on at Stevenson/Duboce! Every day camps are set up. We report, call, tweet and nothing is done to prevent it to begin with! The open use of drugs is seen, there’s human feces, trash everywhere.
