Description
Two cars parked Friday through weekend in a space meant for one car Heard as people parked "disregard that sign!" And walk away
There happen to be abundant open spaces on the street Not to mention open spaces in the driveway and parking area of the house parkers are staying in/renting Not to mention blatantly not following parking signage on our street/community #qualityoflife
Backing out of our driveway we can not see oncoming traffic while backing up #unsafe One of the many reasons this sign is here
How can this enforcement be regulated if code enforcement is not available during the weekend? What do we do when this happens over weekend ?a

Seeing other issues tagged as "parking enforcement"... means enforcing the parking rules. #wordsmeansomething
This issue requires enforcement. Not by residents, but by code enforcement. Why does it have to be the police that takes action?
Here is another issue: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/11144471?poi_token=32915398fb6b96012f6d179671ced216a63b4e65&utm_campaign=poi-notice-email&utm_content=issue-card-header&utm_medium=email&utm_source=poi-email&utm_term=issue-image.
Police need to come out and ticket this? Clear violations could -> should be "enforced" by code "enforcement". Especially with police spread so thin...
I have observed code enforcement having cars towed and ticketed if they park in a zone that is for permits only...since code enforcement can do this why can't they:
-> cars parked over driveways/blocking and making it unsafe to enter or leave
-> two cars parking in one space with a sign!!!!! saying one car only (seems similar to no parking without permit #just saying).
-> cars parking on Willard past the allowed spaces for parking
-> cars parked MORE than a foot away from the curb (get out your measuring stick)
These things could be "enforced" by code "enforcement".
Instead, the parking enforcement tag will come off of SCF and the issues will continue.

Who is ticketing the cars that have no permits in permit-only zones...driving code enforcement little white cars....who are the same people lingering to wait until a car is towed?
Should we change the ordinance? Esp if police are spread thin. Yes, you are following the rules. But why not innovate, ask questions, show empathy for the residents of this town that have no recourse but to call the police. Who have to educate students year after year.
After a quick google, I get nothing on parking enforcement and SCF...only content is directed at police here: https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/Police/Parking-Enforcement
Time to innovate. Or simply fix this app.
-> allow code enforcement to ticket and tow and on weekends.....!
-> send notifications to the police so they can enforce parking!!!!!!!!!
What is parking enforcement for if there is no enforcement of parking?

Thanks for clarifying who we are seeing ticket and tow cars.
Do those city employees get notifications from SCF? If not why? And if not can SCF parking enforcement issues go to them?
They are always lurking around resident only parking zones.
Haven’t seen them enforcing one car only spots. Blocked driveways etc. on non resident only zones. Saw one on the top of Henry St this morning between 7-7:30 (in a resident only parking zone) I also walked by a car that was about two feet away from the curb and a car parked on Willard past the area they should be parked.
When one clicks on the SCF link on the mayors page it simply brings you to the SCF home page/app. No explanation on what SCF is. What they fix. And what each category covers. What is the goal or mission of SCF?
What happens when there are repeat Issues? Do they get fixed (stop occurring?) or do they linger for years.
Threads like these are not helpful. What would be helpful is for code enforcement to see a need arise with the tool they are using. “Tags for parking enforcement are not part of our responsibility…people want these issues to be resolved…let’s direct those to parking enforcement people” so they can get out of their resident only parking comfort zone and help some of the other community members.
Or perhaps change the name of the app. To SC.
