Thank you for reporting this issue to the City. Since these are protected oak trees, staff is working with the City's oak tree consultant to make an evaluation if the trees can be trimmed a little more to provide better view of these bousinesses from Agoura Rd. It is expected that the oak tree consultant will provide her assessment on or after 5-19-14. Staff will follow up with the management company once an assessment has been made. This issue was referred to the City's Oak Tree Consultant to make an evaluation if the trees can be trimmed further from their current condition. It has been determined that these trees have been trimmed before and can not be trimmed anymore at this time. Also, it was determined that the trees in the parkway did not seem to block the view of the businesses at this site, but the private trees within the parking lot do block the view of some of the businesses' signs from Agoura Rd. Staff has contacted the management company to advise that the City will not be trimming these oak trees at this time.
