Description

Cars speed from Cross St to Belmont St light on Hancock St (and vice versa) as though it is a speed-limit free zone. During the night, people then run red lights at Belmont/Hancock as they have built up too much speed. Speed bumps, speed limit signs, a camera installed on the intersection lights, or just a three-way stop at Appleton/Hancock would probably help more than continuing to ignore this problem. So far, after only two years living here, we have witnessed at least 10 accidents, plus many more near accidents. Before someone veers off the road and crashes into a sleeping child’s bedroom, it would be nice if the city did even the cheapest fix to this problem. If necessary, video footage will be compiled and sent in. Thank you.
