Robert Cortes will prepare and send a letter on 5-14-14 to the owner(s) of record to let the owner(s) know this stanchion is in violation of City ordinance 09-364. This will also allow the owner(s) a chance to move the stanchion to private property before the City considers impounding it. Staff has mailed a letter to the owner of record and a copy of the letter was posted on the stanchion today to allow the owner a chance to move the stanchion to private property before the City makes an attempt to impound it. Staff will continue to monitor this location in the next few days and if the stanchion is not removed from public right-of way, the city will arrange to impound it.
