I would like to inform Darby Police and any people who live on Spring Valley Road with children. There is ABSOLUTELY NO PARENTAL SUPERVISION of any children playing outside!! Most of them are riding their bikes, playing ball, jumping rope or just standing in the street. There are children out there unsupervised around the age of 2 or 3 that are running between all the parked cars!! The speed limit is 15mph but all cars come down this street ALOT faster than that!! Most of them have been able to stop and beep to get the child's/children's attention but one of these days someone is not going to be able to stop and it will be BOTH the driver and the parents fault!! There are alleys behind our homes so why can't the children play there instead of on the street. Not to mention there is a school ground like 3 blocks away they could play in!! Darby police come down the street on patrol and beep at these kids but NEVER correct them about playing in the street nor do they ask where their parents are!! Maybe if they talked to these parents something would change but that REALIZATION will only come after a child is struck and killed. Then something may be done!!
