Description
So, let me get this straight, the city is completely abdicated any responsibility for the scooter rules that they themselves created? Why even have a scooter section in see click fix if you’re just going to tell people to contact the very vendors that are causing the problems? This is completely unacceptable. What concrete actions are you taking to penalize these companies when the rules are not followed?

Update from Transportation & Parking: Thank you again for your inquiry about the city’s E-Scooter program. Our department relays reports such as yours to the appropriate vendor on your behalf, however the additional contact information is provided should a complainant wish to reach out to the vendor themselves.
To reiterate, this program is operated by two separate vendors, Razor and Veo, and issues such as this one can be most quickly addressed by reaching out to these vendors directly. Questions about their equipment, or any reports such as misplaced, abandoned, or improperly parked scooters, may be submitted directly to the responsible vendor via their contact information listed here:
-Razor (red and black model with a seat) – sharesupport@razorusa.com or (833) LAST-MILE
-Veo (black and teal stand-up model) – hello@veoride.com or 855-836-2256
Additionally, each scooter has a sticker with a unique number that will assist the vendor with identification.
**Any observed traffic infractions or other dangerous operation by scooter riders should be reported immediately by calling the Police Department’s non-emergency number, 727-893-7780, while the activity is occurring**
It is important to note that due to both the popularity of privately-owned scooters as well as recent State legislation that makes them legal to use, much like bicycles, not every scooter in operation is part of the city’s program. Our shared scooter program rules are very strict, requiring set hours of operation, age restrictions for riders, and placement of equipment in dedicated corrals.
More information about the E-Scooter program may be found on the city’s website:
