Description

Sadly (although not surprisingly) a woman was hit by a car while crossing Memorial Boulevard today. With the busy season approaching, the State/City absolutely must do something about the hazardous pedestrian and traffic conditions caused by the lack of traffic lights on Memorial Boulevard, particularly near Easton's/First Beach. The simple solution is to install one or two traffic lights on Memorial Boulevard triggered by pedestrian buttons. No need for a traffic light at every intersection. But installing one or two more (near Rhode Island Ave and near Cliff Walk, in particular) will make a huge difference, safety-wise.
