    I was walking down the Illecillewaet river this morning. I have taken school groups down to these sites before to do lessons and great learning and wanted to check the integrity of the new shoreline. With the newly done dredging, the banks are very steep and being washed away. I believe this will only become more of a hazard into June.

    I was intending on taking a school group down tomorrow, but will refrain from being near any water at this time.
    Walking along the bank to check the integrity of the shore, about half a metre of shore washed from under my feet into the river and I followed. I was able to get myself out of the situation with minor injuries and a wet start to my day.
    I’m not sure that the dredging work done will solve the issues that were present. Risk is imminent in this zone. Thank you.

    This water is running back into my property from the street off if the corner of Oscar Street and leach st. It is now at the point with the snow this morning to be over 8 inches of water on the surface. I was sure there was a storm drain somewhere on the corner at one time. But over the last two times the city raised the road out front this problem only hot eirst. We really could use so gravel on the sides of both streets to slow the wTer roaring into our yard right now. Appreciate your callback on this problem we are facing as the water is getting g under our homes cra space. Sincerely pat weatherby

    City watering lawn at 5:45am in the park( wooden head park) Shame on you!
    You restrict people from watering their lawns but you’re allowed to water before the bylaw time and during a Class 2 water ban!!!
