96-110 Forest Ave E Detroit, MI, 48201, USA - US Congressional District MI13
A double lane was created to turn from Forest onto John R in front of the VA hospital. This almost causes an accident every time. There is not enough room for two cars to comfortably turn there at the same time.

78 Adams Ave W Detroit MI 48226, United States - US Congressional District MI13
This intersection at W Adams and Park desperately needs some type of caution sign in the crosswalks to encourage drivers to actually stop. Currently the stop signs are blocked from drivers view due to parking on both sides of the street in front of stop signs. This type of sign or something along the same lines could help protect the large number of people who cross at this intersection throughout the day and evening.

Cadillac Sq & Woodward Ave Detroit, MI, 48226, USA - US Congressional District MI13
For vehicles turning from Cadillac Square into Campus Martius, they are going from 2 lanes to 3 lanes. However, there is no sign guiding people as to which lanes to turn into. I've had several close calls/sideswipes with people turning into the wrong lane.
  • 5201-5209 Cadieux Rd Detroit, MI, 48224, USA - US Congressional District MI13

There's a relatively new traffic signal at the intersection of Cadieux Rd and Frankfort St. I believe that when this signal was first installed, it operated normally during school hours and then flashed amber for Cadieux at other times. Now it is performing normal Green-Amber-Red operation all day and night.

Stopping traffic on Cadieux when there are no students or other pedestrians wastes fuel and citizen time. In my experience, the signal at Frankfort is not timed, in any way with the signals at East Warren or Chandler Park Drive which means even more time and fuel is wasted.

My request is to review the requirements for the signal at this intersection and consider limiting its operation to when classes at the East English Village Preparatory Academy are in session and actually require the pedestrian safety provided by the signal.

You might consider one of the "push button" Pedestrian Request features we see at some intersections so that early or late students can still request a green light/walk signal to cross Cadieux.

You could also consider one of the Pedestrian Crossing signs that go something like "Stop for Pedestrians in Cross Walk -- State Law."

    Thanks for your consideration.

  • Cadillac Sq & M-3 S Detroit, MI, 48226, USA - US Congressional District MI13
There are 4 lanes on eastbound Cadillac Square as it intersects with Randolph, and only 2 turn options. Presumably, the right 2 lanes are for dual right turn onto southbound Randolph and the left 2 lanes are for dual left turn onto northbound Randolph. However, the sign which explains all of this is missing.

There is a very abrupt lane shift on southbound AWD that is very poorly signed. I was sideswiped by a car here this morning who wasn't paying attention.
