For the past three nights, this business has left its exterior lights on throughout the night. This has caused a significant disturbance, as the bright lights shine directly into our home, causing loss of sleep and overall discomfort.

Previously this issue was addressed, and the business had agreed to turn off their lights during non-operational hours. However, they seem to have reverted to leaving the lights on all night again. Besides the disturbance to residents, these lights have also created visibility issues for myself and other drivers. When turning onto Raff Road from the opposite side, the glare from these lights greatly reduce visibility, raising concerns for potential traffic accidents.

Additionally, the light trespass onto my property and those of my neighbors is a serious concern. The lights are not directed downwards, as they should be, but rather shine intrusively into our homes. This not only disrupts our peace during the evening and night but also infringes on our privacy.

I would like to bring to attention the codified ordinances of the City of Canton, specifically "1185.02 Lighting Design Requirements." This regulation emphasizes minimizing the degradation of the night-time environment, preventing glare, light trespass, and light pollution. It clearly states that all exterior lighting systems should be designed to reduce disability glare and light trespass beyond the property lot line. The current lighting setup of this is in direct violation of these ordinances, specifically clauses (a), (b), and (d), which mandate the prevention of glare and light trespass onto adjacent properties, and ensuring that lights do not shine into the eyes of people outside the premises.

Please take immediate action against the business for non-compliance with the city's lighting regulations. It is imperative for the well-being of the residents and the safety of the drivers in our neighborhood.
