Grandpa forgot his easy chair, but probably nobody will be back for it. Thank you for picking it up!

A dirty old recliner was dumped at the top of the hill next to the Clarke Ave Street sign in Common Burial Ground.

There are people fishing at the reservoir path again, despite signs saying it is not allowed. I reported it to the police as described in my previous report, but they said it is not their issue but rather to call DEM. Is this no fishing rule just not an actual rule? It will never be enforced?
  • 236-298 Ruggles Ave Newport, RI, 02840, USA - Newport
Metal edging around roadway trees stick up from dirt sidewalk 1-2”, causing tripping hazard and potential serious injury. Not really a safe place to walk around this entrance to the Cliff Walk which is beautiful.
  • 34 Middleton Ave Newport RI 02840, United States - Newport
    Overgrown onto sidewalk
  • 42 Gould St Newport, RI 02840, USA - Newport - Off Broadway
standing on the corner of Warner St. You can not see the one way sign and the other photo is how the shrubs are taking over the sidewalk
  • 40 Newport Ave Newport, RI 02840, USA - Newport - Off Broadway
this house has been essentially abandoned for 10 years and there is overgrown grass everywhere and on the sidewalks.
  • 11 Cottage St Newport RI 02840, United States - Newport
    Shrubbery blocking sidewalk.
  • 98 Gibbs Ave Newport, RI, 02840, USA - Newport
This is a multi family house and the landlord does not keep the hedges trimmed. They are half way over the sidewalk and make it extremely difficult and dangerous trying to pull out onto Gibbs from Robinson street. Ideally, I’d love to see the hedges removed completely, as they are overgrown and only have leaves on the outer edge. At minimum, they should be heavily pruned. I’ve personally almost gotten in an accident multiple times because of not being able to see oncoming traffic. Please address this issue asap. Thank you for your time.
  • 15 Coddington St Newport, Rhode Island, 02840 - Newport
I am on the board of 15 Coddington and an owner since 2006. This tree obstruct our sidewalk and the roots are pushing the curb away a few years ago. The postmaster requested this tree be taken down because they have a hard time delivering mail and it’s dangerous and they have to walk out into the street. We also had problems with roof damage squirrels chewing through the soffit because they can get on top of the roof. This tree sheds, bark and branches all year long and our front
steps and sidewalk become a real hazard. I would appreciate having someone come out to look at this as it is a liability and dangerous to everyone that tries to walk on our street.
  • 42 Gould St Newport, RI 02840, USA - Newport - Off Broadway
this house has hedges that are taking up almost all the side walk up warner street. The kids walking on that section sidewalk on the way to catch the school bus are going to get hit one day because it is hard to stay on that sidewalk. On Gould street you can not even see the oneway sign because the hedges are so overgrown. This house also does not shovel that whole area when it snows out.
  • 625 Thames St Newport RI 02840, United States - Newport
Sidewalk impediments due to trees not being pruned ever
  • 1 Meikle Ave Newport RI 02840, United States - Newport
Not sure if this is a City of Newport tree but I noticed without the leaves on it there are a lot of unsitely branches sticking straight up that need to be pruned (suckers?). I live directly across the street. Would be nice to have this tree be pruned to match how beautiful the trees are in Morton Park and the rest of the street. Thanks!
