There are no pedestrian crosswalks crossing either Park Ave or Liberty Blvd at this dangerous intersection, and it is a major accesss bottleneck for persons walking to the city Park from the downtown area
  • 600-798 High St Bradford Twp, PA, 16701, USA - McKean County
The rumble strips have been installed in McKean County where I live and ride a bicycle. In many cases there is inadequate room for a cyclists to travel to the right of a strip along the right side of the traveled lane. Since riding a bicycle on the rumble strip for more that a very brief period is not a workable option the rider must ride in the lane being used by motor vehicles. This creates a condition in which the drivers of vehicles much larger and faster than a bicycle are using the same lane with bicycles. This is a nuisance to motor vehicle drivers and a great risk to bicyclers.
The rumble strips installed in the Bradford Area are not according to PENNDOT’s own standards. PENNDOT Pub 13, Chapter 12.7, Shoulder rumble Strips states in part:
    2. If rumble strips are to be installed on right shoulders that are 1.8 m (6 ft) to less than 2.4 m (8 ft) wide, the review and approval of the Central Office Pedestrian/Bicycle Coordinator is required to ensure that bicyclists needs are met. DO NOT CONSTRUCT SHOULDER RUMBLE STRIPS ON RIGHT SHOULDERS THAT ARE LESS THAN 1.8 m (6 ft) WIDE (my emphasis).
Shoulder rumble strips in McKean County fail to meet two requirements of the above: the cyclists’ needs (a safe means of travel) are not being met, and rumble strips are being placed on shoulders that are less than 6 ft wide.
Here in McKean as in many places throughout Pennsylvania and the United States bicycles are expanding beyond their previous use for sport and recreation – they are increasingly a means of transportation. To insure that this trend does not result in an increase in accident and injury the safety of cyclists needs to be considered. Existing rumble strips that do not meet the state standard need to be removed.

  • Liberty/Park Aven DuBois, PA - Clearfield County
My store is on the corner of Park Avenue and Liberty Blvd. in DuBois. I can see MANY people making the illegal left turn onto W. Park Avenue.
  • Intersection Of East Dubois Avenue And First Street DuBois, PA - DuBois
A traffic light needs to be installed at the intersection of East DuBois Avenue and First Street. Traffic is very congested in this area making for a dangerous situation when individuals are trying to merge onto East DuBois Avenue from First Street.
  • 525-699 Liberty Blvd DuBois, PA 15801, USA - DuBois
There needs to be overhead signs letting drivers know that both lanes exiting Beaver Drive can turn left. It never fails that the minute you make the left turn drivers in the inside lane pull over into the far right lane forcing vehicles into the curb or cutting off other drivers.
  • 131 Coudersport-Jersey Shore Hwy Coudersport, PA 16915, USA - US Congressional District PA5
Road deterioration - areas of no road, huge potholes, uneven surface, can cause accidents.
  • State Highway 255 Treasure Lake, PA 15801, USA - Clearfield County
Traffic traveling either direction on Route 255 cannot safely pull into our driveway (our business is The Inn at Narrows Creek Bed and
Breakfast and Country Store). Traveling south on 255, the speed limit doesn't change to 45 until right before the entrance to Treasure Lake (100 yards after our driveway) and no one slows down to even that speed unless they are turning right into Treasure Lake. We have already had our guard rail ruined and then actually removed all together from an accident coming that direction. Coming north on 255, if you don't get clear over as far as you can get without crossing the yellow line to turn left into our driveway, you always have to watch for someone coming right up on you from behind and then swerving around you on the right so they don't have to slow down. Again that speed limit changes to 55 just past the entrance to Treasure Lake. We have asked the State about moving the speed limit sign further north on 255 and they have told us they need a feasibility study which would cost thousands of dollars. With all the traffic going in and out of Hungry Hollow Road (entrance to Tri County Church), the speed limit should be 45 just before Hungry Hollow coming south and just past Hungry Hollow going north. That should slow things down a bit. There have been so many accidents right out in front of our home. It is just a matter of time until someone is killed. We have already made our driveway one way so that is not an issue. Route 255 is an extremely busy highway and traffic definitely needs to slow down.
  • 1141 Windfall Rd St Marys, PA 15857, USA - St. Marys

  • 170-198 N Main St Du Bois, PA 15801, USA - DuBois
No lane markings on 4019. Multiple access points and a stop sign for left turn but intersection is wide enough that cars move over and other cars continue right without stoping causing near miss accidents for vehicles exiting Quarry Avenue
