Entrance to N I-77 from Dave Lyle Blvd is extremely dangerous. The acceleration lane is riddled with potholes along the entire lane. It is so bad drivers have to weaving between potholes (in some places there are 2 to 3 adjacent to each other across the lane) trying to merge into 70mph traffic at the same time. This is not safe! You can't watch for potholes and oncoming traffic at the same time. I've seen some close calls at this location.

  • Dave Lyle Blvd & Interstate 77 Rock Hill, SC - Rock Hill
There are so many pot holes and worn away pavement on the north bound acceleration lane that it is extremely dangerous. I've seen near accidents as drivers attempt to merge onto I-77 while dodging pot holes many of which are side by side and cannot be avoided. Dodging potholes while attempting to accelerate and watch oncoming 70 MPH traffic in preparation to merge is a serious accident waiting to happen.

The pavement is breaking apart where the entrance ramp joins I-77 North, it is very rough. On July 5 I was about 8 to 10 lenths behind a car, I was delivering a new Ford F-150 with 21 miles on it. The car in front of me pick up a piece of the pavement & it hit the windshield, breaking it. The pavement has been coming apart for over a year & there has been know attemtp to fix it. I think the SCDOT should pay to replace the windshield in that BRAND NEW TRUCK. The customer was not happy, butt, they did understand. The next time it happens to someone, & it will, the results could be a lot worse. I hope & pray that knowone gets hurt.
