May not have pin perfectly placed; it is just south of Prosperity Bank in right-most northbound lane. The road surface is intact but seems settling from below is causing a major dip.

1853-1879 Welsh Avenue College Station, Texas - South Knoll Neighborhood Plan
In the southbound bike lane on Welsh, somewhere around where I've marked and north of the high school, there is some construction (or dirt moving of some kind?) going on and this has caused a huge amount of debris to be left all along the bike path. This is a huge safety hazard - especially where kids ride their bikes right near a school!

  • Welsh & Southwest College Station, Texas - South Knoll Neighborhood Plan
I continue to have trouble being detected at this intersection on my bicycle. I travel across Southwest Parkway on Welsh in each direction almost daily, and I seem to have the most consistent trouble when northbound in the morning. I'm hoping with the recent traffic control software updates that at least the settings can be double-checked very easily; if they are in order perhaps there is some kind of equipment malfunction occurring. I make sure to stop short of the white line, and I try to be patient but my patience seems to result in me waiting until a car comes along rather than anything I can identify as actually being detected in the bike lane. If there is ANYTHING else I can do to help hone in on the problem (or verify it is operating normally) please let me know.
  • 312 George Bush Drive College Station, Texas - SouthSide Area
The NE-bound bike lane on George Bush Drive, from Olsen, over Wellborn, and onward at least several blocks has a lot of gravel and loose rock that makes this route a bit dangerous for bicyclists to ride. It would be greatly appreciated if the streetsweeper could reduce these hazards by making a pass along this section.
  • Holleman & 2818 College Station, Texas - College Station
I drove through this intersection at about 2 AM and it seemed the signal was defaulting to give a protected left turn for northbound Holleman Dr traffic. There was a car waiting for a green southbound on Holleman as I approached on eastbound 2818. It stayed red for both vehicles for a rather long time before finally giving me a green. I know y'all are in the midst of a lot of traffic signal work/upgrades, but if this isn't associated with that and planned for adjustment, please check signal operation when you can.

Victoria Avenue & Rock Prairie College Station, Texas - College Station
When heading south on Victoria from Rock Prairie, the bicycle lane stripe is unmarked for the first bit of road. Perhaps this is intentional and it can't be adjusted, but I've been nearly hit and forced against the curb by cars driving way to the right edge of the road. I think it might be improved by having the bicycle lane white line start a little closer to the intersection if that is possible when the street is next due for painting traffic lines.

2400-2412 Welsh Avenue College Station, Texas - Central College Station
I think it is this area in front of the church but maybe it is farther south. There is a stretch of road where a repair was attempted but it seems to be failing again (I believe it is the area where the TAMU buses pull over) and the portion over the bike lane is difficult to ride over without taking the car lane. There are several similar areas in the bike lanes along Welsh. Please consider adding a repair of these areas to your to-do list.

Holleman & Welsh College Station, Texas - South Side Neighborhood Plan
The area where bikes travel when making a right turn from NE-bound Holleman to SE-bound Welsh is in bad shape. It would be great if this area could be repaired/smoothed at some point that it is convenient.
  • 369-425 University Drive College Station, Texas - Texas A&M University
There is a pothole that spans the entire shoulder area so bicyclists have to move over into the car lane. I realize this is probably TXDOT territory but I'm not sure how to report directly to them.
  • 119-147 Olsen Boulevard College Station, Texas - Texas A&M University
The north end of Olsen has a huge pot hole in the south-bound lanes. I think a repair has been attempted but completely failed within a couple weeks. Please try again.
  • Olsen Boulevard College Station, Texas - Texas A&M University
The north-bound section of Olsen across from the Track & Field Complex has standing water completely across the bike lane and this has been there throughout the entire summer (there is enough water after a rain storm that it never completely dries up, just concentrates the nastiness of it all). The water is black with road grime and animal waste (being under trees it fills with bird poop) so unless someone wants to splash their face with this water, it is unsafe for bikes to ride through and we are forced into the car travel lanes.
Please address the drainage along Olsen Blvd. I realize Olsen Blvd is probably TAMU rather than city.

  • 3269-3285 Welsh Avenue College Station, Texas - Central College Station
I previously reported 4 instances of branches in the bike lane along Welsh Avenue. One instance was resolved quickly and I commented as such (I think probably the gas station management itself took care of that one). The other three instances were closed without any apparent effort to resolve them and are now archived so I cannot reopen them. I will ask (again) that you please make the bike lanes safe to travel in by trimming the trees that have branches that force bikes into the car lanes. The remaining three locations are near the intersections of Welsh and -Honeysuckle, -San Mario, and -Westchester. If you can't find the branches I reference, please comment as such rather than closing the issue without addressing it. I will be happy to make a point of stopping along my commute to take photos if necessary.
  • 1810-1850 Welsh Avenue College Station, Texas - South Knoll Neighborhood Plan
There are several locations along the length of Welsh Avenue (I notice it most when northbound) where tree branches are hanging down into the bike lane. This forces cyclists to take the car lane, which is upsetting to drivers and a hazard. I will create issues for places I particularly noticed (this is location 4 and this one is on the southbound bike lane), but it is probably most efficient if the entire length of Welsh Avenue is checked for this maintenance need. Thank you!

Many shards of brown glass on walkway. This is highly used walkway for people walking their kids and dogs as well as bicyclists so this needs to be cleaned up before someone lacerates a paw/foot/tire!
