This issue has been on going and from a resident point of view our park seems to slip through the cracks of the city’s care and responsibility. I can’t even take my kids here anymore and we live within walking distance. This park and it’s parking lot are literally used for drug exchanges, drug usage, and homeless encampments. You can come any day of the week and I guarantee that most of the cars in the parking lot are not there for their kids to play. This is also where neighborhood and local city thieves like to reside during all hours of the day and night. I wish the city would do something about this.. The police should even set up undercover units in the parking lot posing as dealers and let people get caught. It is very unfortunate that such a nice park is just a ghetto slum full of drugs, alcohol, and homeless. Please do something about this.
