Description

The pedestrian crosswalk between Coors Blvd NW and the SW Polytechnic Institute Road (by the gas station) is incredibly dangerous. The cars coming from SIPI and turning right onto Coors Blvd simply do NOT yield to pedestrians who are crossing Coors when the 'walk' sign is illuminated. I nearly got hit 3 times now: when I get the 'walk' sign and proceed to cross Coors Blvd, the cars coming from behind me (from SIPI) and are turning right onto Coors are simply either not seeing me or don't care. I am wearing long sleeved reflective yellow construction vest WITH blinking green LED for maximum visibility, but cars don't care. I am now walking down to the next intersection at Eagle Ranch and Coors Blvd, but even there, cars are NOT yielding to pedestrians. One of these days I will be killed simply because I chose to follow the law/rules and cross the crosswalk when I receive the 'walk' signal. Can anything be done about this ?
