The Oakland County Road Commission had a program to remove dead trees along the roads. Have not done anything in years that I can see. Are there any plans to continue this program? Rattalee Lake Road was cleared from Dixie Hwy. to Heather Highlands Gulf Course and then stopped. There are a lot of dead trees west of Tindall Road and some of them could hurt people if they fell on a car!
Every year the Road Commission removes hundreds of trees along roads. However, there are literally tens of dead trees, many of them ash trees killed by the emerald ash borer. To ensure the best response, though, please contact us directly if you see trees that are a concern. We simply are not able to monitor all the site like this where people post info. You can reach us toll free at 877-858-4804 or through our Web site, www.rcocweb.org (click on "Contact Us"). We have forwarded this concern to the appropriate parties.
Update: This particular tree was first reported to us in September of 2012. A foreman examined the location and added it to the very long list of dead trees that need to be removed. This list is prioritized based on urgency.
