At the intersection of Grand and Olive, there's a parking lane on Grand adjacent to Lucibello's (on the east side of the intersection). This lane comes much too close to the intersection, after Grand has already split into two lanes going westbound towards downtown. Usually people are not dumb enough to park there, but if someone is parked there during a high-traffic period it can cause a huge back-up. There should be no parking once Grand has split into two lanes going westbound -- i.e. no parking lane to the west of the curb cut for the Lucibello's parking lot on Grand.

Behind the small dog area of the Union Street Dog Park, behind the concrete wall in the back, there is an incredible amount of trash, old clothes, garbage, liquor bottles, and a medium-sized tent set up. Someone either is living there, or has lived there for a long time in the past. This photo is taken from above, looking over the wall.

#'s: 42, 43, 58, 66 William St have sidewalk cut outs for trees that need filling. Can we request trees for these spaces? With the close proximity to the highway, any additional trees will help filter sounds and filter the air.
I am a neighbor on the adjoining street who can help with watering if needed, but hope that there are folks on William St who would be willing to help water the new trees over the summer. These spots are also adjacent to the William St Community Garden, so with some collaboration, the trees might also be able to be watered by folks from the garden with their hoses?

This doesn't require the City to fix anything, but is intended for dog owners. I recently watched a woman let her bulldog poop in an area within a few feet of the apartments at the corner of Greene & Olive. She began to walk away, leaving her dog's dirt behind. When I said something, her entitled response was "no one will step in it there." Dog owners, no rationalizations now. If your dog poops, clean up after it. You are the reason that dog owners are oftentimes viewed with disrespect.

A red BMW, a black Prius, and a grey Altima regularly park for many hours and even overnight on Court Street, which is cleary marked for no parking. The charm of Court Street is it's pedestrian mall-like quality. It's also one-lane, which means it needs the clearance for emergency vehicles if necessary, such as a wide fire truck.
So, please, don't ruin the neighborhood. Park on Academy or Green or some other street.

I would like for someone working for the city to confirm that we will not be ticketed on Academy St. on the third Thursday and Friday of each month since they no longer do street sweeping on those days. The permanent signs state "no parking on the third Thursday on the Academy side and third Friday on the park side, so technically they could ticket and tow.
Parking is in short supply, and it is ridiculous to worry needlessly.

This ATV ridden by two young men seen in the photo were riding on the sidewalk on Court Street at 3pm today, Saturday June 15. While going a slow speed, it's still dangerous to pedestrians and it appeared that the younger one (in front) was getting "driving lessons". Yikes!

The rear upper floor tenant/s at 527 Chapel St. insist on leaving the cover of their Dumpster open at all times so that they can toss their garbage from the second or third floor rear balconies.
The problems with this are:
1. Squirrels are in there every day removing food and dropping it on the ground and on the grounds of neighboring buildings. As a long standing practice, it eventually will attract rats as well.
2. It has now become a fairly regular morning stop for a couple seagulls.
3. The tosser/s miss - often - so the garbage hits the ground. Several months ago, a bag of garbage missed, lodging itself behind the Dumpster for weeks until a worker at the building removed it.
4. Heavy hard things make a startling noise when they hit the metal Dumpster after being thrown from high on the balcony.
5. In the summer the Dumpster's smell with the cover open can be horrendous.
If 527 Chapel tenant/s doesn't stop doing this I am going to formally and very persistently complain to LCI. What kind of person is incapable of taking out the garbage and willing to subject neighbors to this? Everyone else in this neighborhood takes their garbage out.
There are rats in the garbage pails a mere five or six blocks away on the New Haven Green. We don't need them in Wooster Square. Please stop this asap.
This is otherwise a really good building with local landlords with long ties to the neighborhood. I highly doubt they would be thrilled to learn they have tenant/s doing this.

Robbery at gunpoint. My boyfriend's iPhone and wallet were taken at 1:45 am while walking through Wooster Square park to get to our parked car. Watch out for 3 guys on BMX bikes, one with a gun. Police report has been filed.

There is shattered glass on the road across from 71 Olive. This was obviously left over from a car break in. There is also a long trail of broken glass from a car in front of the Comcast payment office on Olive street
