Charlotte Pike west of I-40 has become a very dangerous area due to increased traffic, homes and businesses. The speed limit of 55 is too high and a turning lane is desperately needed; at least through Old Hickory Blvd. There have been numerous accidents in this area.
i work on this section of Charlotte Pike. Getting out of the parking lot in the afternoons is a real challenge most days. Getting into the parking lot, I'm always afraid someone is going to rear-end me. Thankfully, I've not been involved in any traffic crashes... yet.
I work on Charlotte Pike & arrive to theoffice in the dark most mornings. The speed limit is really an issue 55 is to fast for the amount of traffic & no turning lanes.
Charlotte Pike west of River Road has become more dangerous due to increase traffic over the last few years. Many people use Charlotte to go to and from work everyday and alot of new homes and condos have been built in the area over the last five years. The speed limit is 55 and it should be lowered but what really needs to be done is a turning lane needs to be added.
The speed limit has been reduced to 45 however it has not made a difference in how fast people drive; a temporary sign that calls attention to the change and some additional patroling would help. A turning lane is desperately needed from River Road to OHB.
