Heading South on Telegraph the light at Dixie is poorly timed causing a consistent traffic backup at all times during the day. Only about 2-3 cars can make it through the light. Has been some near accidents with with impatient drivers running the lights. All other directions seem to be timed at 60 seconds plus. But the south bound timing is just ridiculous and a hazard. Please fix.
819 Woodingham St Waterford Township, MI 48328, USA
There are several cars parking on Woodingham Ave. facing oncoming traffic on a daily basis. It was always understood that this is a PARKING VIOLATION and subjected to a TICKET. The Police drive by and do not pay any attention to this, It's no wonder the millage was voted down, when we see violations and nothing being done about it.
Have the laws changed?
Elizabeth Lake Road Waterford Township, MI 48328, USA
Many drivers speed on Elizabeth Lake during morning rush hour and if you are not doing the same, you often end up enduring people zooming dangerously past you, cutting in and out of traffic. Now that school is is session, this danger is going to be worse. This happens from Cooley, all the way into Pontiac.

In the morning, traveling southeast on Dixie hwy or south on Telegraph not enough cars are let thru on each green light. In the evening, traveling north on Telegraph or northwest on Dixie hwy major backups because not enough cars get thru the green light.
7 VotesFix it! Voted!M-59 Huron Street
M-59 is the main east west road through central Oakland County (Waterford and Pontiac). Why do you have to stop at every traffic light along the way? It drives me nuts! Wouldn't it make more sense to time the lights for continuous driving (at the speed limit), and call it out (put up a sign that reads "hey dummy, if you drive the speed limit, you will hit every light green from here to Hartland". The Government mandates the automotive manufacturers to increase fuel economy but they do not update the roads to make them the most efficient possible.

Ever since the traffic signals have been revamped at this intersection I have seen and experienced daily near-misses of what could be tragic accidents. Drivers assume they will get the green arrow to turn left after the through traffic light turns red and try to complete their turn when it ts actually a red light. Same scenario at Dixie and White Lake. My suggestion is to change the blinking yellow left-turn arrow to a solid red one, to keep drivers from creeping out into the intersection in the left turn lane hoping to complete their turn just as the through-traffic signal turns red. Or just revert to the timing confguration in place before the "upgrade". Some very nasty accidents will happen here.
Watkins Lake Road
Can we please have some Waterford Police presence along Watkins Lake Road btwn. Dixie and Scott Lake Road, especially during this construction? I've been run off the road twice now trying to get onto Watkins Lake Road from my Drayton Woods neighborhood. The traffic speeds on this road during construction has been ridiculous.

The two left lanes on Williams Lake Rd. to turn North and South on Airport should be designated left lanes. Left turn arrows are there but lanes allow traffic to go straight. They should be left turn only.

Every morning there are several parents that, after dropping their kids off, go out onto Hatchery via the exit from the lot (instead of from civic drive where the light is) completly ignoring the right turn only sign and backing up morning traffic trying to get out of there because the rest of the parents have to wait for all of the folks turning in from the turn lane on Hatchery before those ignoring the sign can go.
If Waterford Police would post someone near there on random mornings (like on bender where they could see and nail easily) they would a) create much needed revenue for the township with tickets and b) make mornings much easier for the parents that follow the law. What kind of message are these people sending to the kids by ignoring the sign anyway??
If they want to make a left, they only need to drive a tad bit further down the lot and go out with the light like they are supposed to!
